Previously, if a redirect in the navigation should be opened in a new window, the redirect's properties had to be manually edited in the Sitemap Editor after creation. The NavInfo property had to be set to “external.”
From now on, you can simply edit each redirect to specify if it should be opened in a new window.
To make the option to open in a new window available for HTML Redirects, the sitemap attribute "template.redirect.newwindow.keyword" must be set to the value "extern". Once the Sitemap attribute is set, the checkbox "Open in new window" can be used when editing a redirect in the redirect editor.
Please note: Such redirects are also used for other types of redirection, e.g., to redirect an address /index.html to /start/index.html. In this case, opening a new window is not supported (as it has already been the case). The new option generally only works with the menu structures built by the Mercury template in HTML pages.
